This is the first laptop I've ever had. I needed something that would be able to handle massive amounts of video footage (video editing is a hobby of mine,) and be able to handle some heavy MMORPG action.
This thing goes through high-graphics games and video-editing like a hot knife through butter.
On that note, while playing games,it gets VERY VERY hot. The battery stays cool, but the left side of the computer (I assume where the graphics card is,) gets almost too hot to touch, so I had to invest in a fan-pad.
Other than that I'm completely happy with this computer.
17.3 inches is probably the largest I'd ever want a laptop to be. At a little over 6 pounds its not heavy at all.
The screen is HUGE, great for movies and editing. Touchpad is great, keys are easy to find, and its got 4 USB slots!
I don't know too much techno-lingo, but this is a BEAST.
Very happy with my purchase, the price was more than reasonable!

Love it. My first time with Windows 8 so still "settling in." Have problems with the "touchiness" of the keypad mouse changing the size of the text on screen, changing screens, etc., but I am sure it's just something I need to toggle in Windows 8.
I chose this laptop because of the features I need in what I do with a computer as well as the size of the screen and that the keyboard contains a separate number keypad. I was not disappointed. Our massive database of family histories along with digitizing our lives, scanning absolutely everything, necessitated the large hard drive. Again, not disappointed.
